Delicious Appreciation

Stanstead Journal - - FORUM - Ayer's Cliff

On Friday June 3, benefactors to Ayer's Cliff Elementary School were invited to enjoy a continental style breakfast to show appreciation for those who have donated money towards this program. How great it was to meet the volunteers, Principal, Catherine Zahra; and Head Teacher, Del Springate, (who coordinated this event) who help everyday with the children's breakfast.

What a wonderful assortment of delicious and healthy choice of foods! Members of Victoria # 16 were invited and it was the honour of Vice-Grand Arnold MacKeage; and Secretary Ernestine Whipple to represent this lodge. Several children from Coaticook area get on the bus very early and may or may not have had breakfast either way, could be very hungry by lunch time, (if they have brought any lunch). I was informed that without the monetary support of different ones this would not happen. What a good feeling this gave us as members of this lodge! One of the guests explaining how important this is to all concerned.

L-R Catherine Zahra (Principal); Barbara Smith (Fidelity #33; Del Springate (Head Teacher); Ernestine Whipple and Arnold MacKeage.
