Stanstead Journal - - NEWS -

The Memphremagog library is inviting children to register for its free, bilingual TD summer reading club, the biggest reading club in the country for children of all ages and tastes. “There are two ways children can take part in the program. They can register for the series of six workshops offered by the Bibliotheque Memphremagog or register individually, reading their own material where and when they like, as long as they periodically inform the librarians at the loan counter of the titles that they have read,” explained Diane Boulé of the library. All participants get to take part in a musical festival on August 9th, to reward their efforts.

Parents can register their child by going to the Memphremagog library’s loan counter where they will be given stickers and a booklet where the children can write about the books they read. There is also a special booklet for preschool children. Participants can also take part electronically by connecting to the site www. clubdelecturetd.ca. For more information about this free children’s program, call the Bibliotheque Memphremagog at 819 843-1330.
