Strict dog rules be­ing en­forced in Sher­brooke

the now stricter sur­veil­lance by the City of Sher­brooke of pets in pub­lic, on Thurs­day evening at the Sherblues & Folk fes­ti­val on Welling­ton South, ten dog own­ers were de­nied ac­cess to the site be­cause they had their dogs with them.

to the mu­nic­i­pal rul­ing in ef­fect, an­i­mals are not al­lowed to ac­cess pub­lic places where events are tak­ing place, whether it be on a street, in a park, on a prom­e­nade, a play­ground, a trail or any other pub­lic space that the pub­lic can ac­cess.

aim of this ban is to en­sure a con­stant feel­ing of safety in all peo­ple who at­tend th­ese events. Of­fi­cers with the Ser­vice de po­lice de Sher­brooke and pa­trollers with the SPA Estrie will be watch­ing closely that this rul­ing is re­spected.
