Wa­ter test­ing at beaches be­gins

Through­out the sum­mer, the Que­bec en­vi­ron­ment min­istry (Devel­oppe­ment durable, de l’En­vi­ron­nement et de la Lutte con­tre les change­ments cli­ma­tiques) will reg­u­larly an­nounce on its web­site the re­sults of the wa­ter test­ing at beaches in Que­bec. The site is up­dated daily at 11:00 am.

The fol­low­ing are the re­sults of wa­ter sam­ples taken in the last few days: Camp­ing lac Mas­saw­ippi, Ayer’s Cliff, “A”; Camp Mas­saw­ippi, Ayer’s Cliff, “A”; Camp Liv­ing­stone, Stanstead, “A”; Camp­ing coop Pre­vert Birch­ton, “A”.

“A” means ex­cel­lent; “B” is good; “C” is pass­able; and “D” is pol­luted. Be­sides the min­istry’s web­site, peo­ple can also find out about the wa­ter qual­ity of beaches in their area by call­ing 1 800 561-1616.
