The Hatley-Stanstead W.I. met on June 4th. The 11 members present met at the Ayer’s Cliff library where they were given a tour by their branch president, Phyllis Dustin, who also volunteers her time at the library. Members were impressed with the children’s area, which is used by the elementary schools. With the use of computers, it was great to hear the students still enjoy their books. The members then went to the CSVM Clinic where they were met by the friendly staff and given a tour of the clinic. Following the tours, the members made their way to Woods where they had their lunch and held a brief meeting to tie up loose ends before the September branch meeting. On July 13th 8 members and 8 guests met at the Beaulne Museum in Coaticook where they enjoyed a tour of the museum exhibits. Following the tour afternoon tea was served on the open porch. The next Stanstead County meeting will be held before the Ayer’s Cliff fair and the Hatley-Stanstead branch will hold their next meeting in September.
