Town­ship­per Josée Bélanger is com­ing home from the Rio Olympics with a wellde­served bronze medal af­ter the Cana­dian Women’s Soccer team beat the Brazil­ian team, in a sta­dium filled with thou­sands of Brazil­ian fans, last Fri­day in the bronze medal match. The thrilling match ended with a score of 2 to 1 for Canada. Coat­i­cook’s soccer star, who has more of­ten played in of­fen­sive po­si­tions in her ca­reer, started the game in a de­fend­ing po­si­tion as an ‘at­tack­ing full­back’.
