Townshipper Josée Bélanger is coming home from the Rio Olympics with a welldeserved bronze medal after the Canadian Women’s Soccer team beat the Brazilian team, in a stadium filled with thousands of Brazilian fans, last Friday in the bronze medal match. The thrilling match ended with a score of 2 to 1 for Canada. Coaticook’s soccer star, who has more often played in offensive positions in her career, started the game in a defending position as an ‘attacking fullback’.
