Huge garage sale for stroke victims
ACTE, the Estrie organization for people who have had a cerebrovascular accident (stroke) or brain injury, is holding its annual garage sale to raise money to support its growing clientele and to improve its services for people living with sometimes severe limitations. This huge sale will take place at the ACTE locale, 68 Blvd. Jacques Cartier North, August 27th and the 28th, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Close to $25,000 worth of items will be offered at bargain prices. There will also be a silent auction, a Chinese auction, handmade chocolates and soaps for sale, and a canteen on site.
ACTE offers adapted services of all kinds to their clientele: psychosocial support; activities and a variety of workshops; advocating for the rights of their clients, etc. Supported financially by the CIUSSS, the SAAQ and Centraide, in these difficult socio-economic times, ACTE is looking for solutions to answer the growing needs of its members.
