Huge garage sale for stroke vic­tims

ACTE, the Estrie or­ga­ni­za­tion for peo­ple who have had a cere­brovas­cu­lar ac­ci­dent (stroke) or brain in­jury, is hold­ing its an­nual garage sale to raise money to sup­port its grow­ing clien­tele and to im­prove its ser­vices for peo­ple liv­ing with some­times se­vere lim­i­ta­tions. This huge sale will take place at the ACTE lo­cale, 68 Blvd. Jac­ques Cartier North, Au­gust 27th and the 28th, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Close to $25,000 worth of items will be of­fered at bar­gain prices. There will also be a silent auc­tion, a Chi­nese auc­tion, hand­made choco­lates and soaps for sale, and a can­teen on site.

ACTE of­fers adapted ser­vices of all kinds to their clien­tele: psy­choso­cial sup­port; ac­tiv­i­ties and a va­ri­ety of work­shops; ad­vo­cat­ing for the rights of their clients, etc. Sup­ported fi­nan­cially by the CIUSSS, the SAAQ and Cen­traide, in these dif­fi­cult so­cio-eco­nomic times, ACTE is look­ing for so­lu­tions to an­swer the grow­ing needs of its mem­bers.
