Beaulne Mu­seum presents

The Beaulne Mu­seum is de­lighted to present the ex­hibit « Frag­ment de mé­moire » by the artist Roger Audib­ert from the 11th of Septem­ber to the 9th of Oc­to­ber 2016. The grand open­ing will be held on Sun­day the 11th of Septem­ber at 2pm. The pub­lic and the press are cor­dially in­vited.

« Frag­ment de mé­moire » is a pic­to­rial rep­re­sen­ta­tion of peo­ple af­fected with the ill­ness of for­get­ful­ness. Be­tween 20 and 30 oil paint­ings were pro­duced us­ing the tech­nique of many thin coats of paint. For­mats rang­ing from 81cm x 81cm, you may view frag­ments of im­ages with the il­lu­sion of a third di­men­sion by the ef­fect of shadows and cut­ting. Th­ese top­ics are found in mys­te­ri­ous and ab­stract en­vi­ron­ments, giv­ing an im­por­tant place in the cen­tral im­age.

Roger Audib­ert was in­flu­enced by the end of his high school years by artists such as Dali, Pi­casso, Magritte, Del­vaux etc. Af­ter sev­eral years and many at­tempts in this field, he fi­nally man­aged to present his first solo ex­hi­bi­tion in 1979.

A few years later, af­ter his bach­e­lor's de­gree in Vis­ual Arts at the Univer­sity of Laval, he par­tic­i­pated in a few com­pe­ti­tions in vis­ual arts. In the Que­bec-France Sym­po­sium, he won the gold medal for his acrylic cre­ation. A few months later in 1989 at the Sa­lon des Artistes-Pein­tres du Québec à Mon­tréal, he is hon­ored with a gold medal for his cre­ations “Après la pluie le beau temps”. His suc­cess be­comes un­stop­pable.

Many of his cre­ations were pur­chased for pri­vate col­lec­tions and one is in a pub­lic space at the (INRS) Univer­sity of Re­search in Que­bec.
