CFUW Sher­brooke & Dis­trict Be­gins its 48th Year

CFUW Sher­brooke & Dis­trict Club is pleased to an­nounce the start of its 48th sea­son. As a na­tional, bilin­gual and in­de­pen­dent or­ga­ni­za­tion, mem­bers strive to pro­mote equal­ity, so­cial jus­tice, fel­low­ship and life-long learn­ing for women and girls. The fed­er­a­tion with over 100 clubs/chap­ters across Canada votes on CFUW na­tional poli­cies, and is in­volved in putting for­ward nom­i­na­tions to po­si­tions on na­tional com­mit­tees and its ex­ec­u­tive.

If you are in­ter­ested in par­tic­i­pat­ing in a va­ri­ety of in­ter­est groups and ap­pre­ci­ate our man­date to fur­ther women’s equal­ity in the world, you are in­vited to at­tend the Gen­eral Meet­ing on Septem­ber At the Na­tional AGM/Con­fer­ence in St. Catharines, ON, CFUW Sher­brooke & Dis­trict Pres­i­dent, and VP re­ceived two Cer­tifi­cates of Recog­ni­tion for Spe­cial Club Projects: Abo­rig­i­nal Ini­tia­tive at Cham­plain Col­lege and Teach­ing English to Syr­i­ans. 14th. Dur­ing this meet­ing you will learn all about CFUW and will have the op­por­tu­nity to en­roll and reg­is­ter in many of our in­ter­est groups such as: Art Ap­pre­ci­a­tion, Book Club, Bridge, Din­ing Out, Fun with Cook­ing, Grand­mother to Grand­moth­ers (Fundrais­ing for Stephen Lewis Foun­da­tion), Walk­ing, Travel, and Well­ness.
