His presentation is titled: The Boys Club. Speaking from the perspective of a man from the Y generation, Koriass will address rape culture and feminism for about 60 minutes. He will talk about gender equality, bring up his own personal experiences, identify and challenge biased preconceptions of feminism and discuss the notion of consent.
This conference is part of the Sherbrooke-wide month focussed on sexual assault prevention and consent awareness taking place during the month of September. Many community organizations and educational institutions have joined forces to organize various activities on this important topic. Their goal is to sensitize all citizens to these issues with the hope that the initiatives will create positive cultural change and draw awareness to the importance of sexual consent and the prevention of assault, creating dialogue around these issues. This will be an opportunity for exchange and reflection.
