Death of man found near highway considered suspicious
Police in Nova Scotia are investigating a suspicious death after a man was found on the highway.
At 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Cape Breton Regional Police North Division patrol members responded to Hwy. 223 in Leitches Creek for a report of a man being located on the highway.
Paramedics took the man to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy was scheduled to take place Sunday in Halifax.
Members from the Traffic Safety Unit, Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification
Section continue to investigate.
Police ask anyone with information to call Cape Breton police at 563-5151 or send an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
