Man dies following two-vehicle crash
A man has died in a Halifax hospital after a two-vehicle crash.
Just after 4 p.m. on Monday, Cape Breton RCMP were called to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Hwy. 4 and Blackett’s Lake Rd. in Sydney Forks.
Two people in a Hyundai Accent were taken by paramedics to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. The driver, a 76year-old man, suffered serious injuries, while a 67-year-old male passenger had non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of a Chevrolet Silverado was not injured.
The 76-year-old man was later airlifted to QEII in Halifax via Lifeflight helicopter where he died early Tuesday morning. More on the police investigation at thestar.com/halifax
