Police investigating after cyclist scratched by barbed wire on trail

Police are investigating after a cyclist was scratched on both arms by barbed wire strung across a Don Valley trail on Monday, sending ripples of concern through the Toronto cycling community.
John Lobraico was cycling in the trail system when, according to the instagram account of Cycle Solutions in the Beaches, the bike store where he works, he encountered razor blades and barbed wire obstructing the trail on the last downhill section just before Bayview Ave. and Pottery Rd. Cycle Solutions posted a photo of the injuries to Lobraico’s arms on their Instagram account to warn fellow bikers of potential danger on the trails. In their Instagram story, they confirmed that the wirehad been taken down.
