FROM OUR EDITOR
You’re holding the first issue of Style at Home made during this strange new world of physical distancing. That means we have successfully completed our mission of giving you something beautiful, lighthearted and entertaining to enjoy. We’ve curated the issue, striving to bring you the best of summer decorating, whether designing for inside your home or for the great outdoors.
I am sure these days will teach us many things, including reminding us that feeling good at home is important. Many people have taken advantage of this involuntary pause to undertake home improvement projects both big and small. We are also learning that nature can restore our spirits, so that even a jaunt to your backyard can improve your outlook, broaden your perspective and bring you peace. That’s why we Canadians wait so impatiently for glorious summer weather. We know how warm summer breezes and sunshine restore our well-being.
In this issue, we showcase stunning gardens and outdoor living spaces, as well as interiors that are filled with beautiful colours, lush houseplants and feel-good natural light. You’ll find a seaside vibe in British Columbia, an enchanting spot near Brome Lake, Quebec, an immaculate white house that brings calm and contemplation. We take you on a shopping spree for sunny yellow accessories, and share with you summer’s best recipes. It’s time – let’s brighten things up.
