STRAIGHT UP John Kryk
No point spreads here. tells you who is going to win each game ... and why LATER GAMES MONDAY NIGHT
KRYK PICK: The Steelers need to start wringing better offensive results out of the talent-soaked cloth in hand. Good week to do it, too. Although Colts QB Jacoby Brissett is playing quite well, Pittsburgh should win big.
KRYK PICK: Still hard to type J-A-C-KS-O-N-V-I-L-L-E as a predicted winner. Jags will come after Phil Rivers hard, knowing he’s prone to making bad decisions under duress. Also: L.A. can’t stop the run.
KRYK PICK: I keep picking the Bucs and they keep losing. So this week I’m going to keep picking them. Even without Jameis Winston. If they can’t end their losing skid at home against the Jets, then bye-bye, coach Koetter.
KRYK PICK: The Bengals now possess the NFL’s least-prolific offence. Letting those good, veteran offensive linemen in the off-season might have been a mistake, huh? Titans are improving and should easily win.
KRYK PICK: If I’m wrong and the Vikes win again with third-stringer Case Keenum (whose winning percentage as starter is better than Bradford’s or Bridgewater’s as Vikings), all you can do is shrug. 4:05 p.m. KRYK PICK: Unless the Texans suddenly can somehow cajole way more out of Tom Savage than we’ve seen in six quarters of action this season, the Rams ought
to blow the Texans right out of the Coliseum. 4:25 p.m. KRYK PICK: First game for Dallas without Ezekiel Elliott, who has begun to serve his six-game domesticviolence suspension. The Falcons need this win badly but are so wobbly. Hard to pick
them but they’re at home. 4:25 p.m. KRYK PICK: The Niners will lose for the 24th time in their past 25 games. Their O-line is so bad we probably won’t see newly acquired QB Jimmy Garoppolo until he has fully digested Kyle Shanahan’s attack. If then.
8:30 p.m. KRYK PICK: The Patriots usually lose in Denver, but if these Broncos can’t beat the New York Giants on a Sunday night at home (yup) there’s little hope that with Brock Osweiler at QB they can beat the Patriots.
Monday, 8:30 p.m. KRYK PICK: Jay Cutler and the Dolphins offence improved last Sunday night against Oakland. But the Raiders defence remains terrible. And Carolina’s remains good. Much different story this week.
Surprisingly, Chicago Bears rookie Mitchell Trubisky has more starting experience than his opponent this week, the Green Bay Packers’ third-year QB Brett Hundley (right).
