Pana­sonic’s All Con­nect sys­tem is based on the Qual­comm Al­lPlay plat­form, and is there­fore the­o­ret­i­cally com­pat­i­ble with other prod­ucts that use the same chipset.

Now avail­able in a sec­ond-gen HS2 guise, HEOS by Denon has added high-res au­dio sup­port and ex­tended in­ter­op­er­abil­ity to work with Denon home-cinema re­ceivers.

Rather than foster a stand­alone multi-room brand, Yamaha has opted to treat Mu­sicCast more as a fea­ture, build­ing sup­port for it into a swathe of prod­ucts (35 at the time of writ­ing, and that num­ber’s in­creas­ing all the time).
