Wileyfox Swift 4G
4G LTE connectivity, a quad-core Snapdragon CPU and a really rather good 13MP rear camera make this a reasonable choice at the price, though it’s (predictably) showing its age a little. Expand the storage with a MicroSD and you’re laughing. From £89.99, wileyfox.com
Umidigi Diamond X
Running Android Marshmallow, and toting a decent 2GB of RAM, the Diamond X’s snappy interface might just surprise you – and it has an enormous battery life to boot. It might not last long if you’re hammering the 4G data, though. £99.99, umidigi.com
Blu Studio G LTE
Sitting at the bottom end of the market, but still perfectly useable in a pinch, Blu’s super-budget handset is incredible value – or at least, it is once you’ve deleted the included bloatware apps. It keeps the price down, we suppose. £49.99, bluproducts.com
