Though Black Cow has been a favourite dessert des­ti­na­tion for years, Car­rie and Lane Buck have raised the bar in the seven years they've owned the es­tab­lish­ment by do­ing things the old-fash­ioned way. Car­rie crafts mas­sive peach, ap­ple and berry pies you wish your grand­mother could make from scratch, while Lane churns out but­ter-rich ice cream in the back of the store.
