“Isn’t Pol­ish food just dumplings?” That re­mark to au­thor Zuza Zak prompted the writ­ing of this pretty red-and-white­jack­eted cook­book, as much a Pol­ish his­tory les­son as a col­lec­tion of re­gional, sea­sonal recipes by this Pol­ish blog­ger and TV pro­ducer. Yes, there are recipes for dumplings and piero­gies, but also for such treats as Car­away Roasted Rab­bit, Tuna Cured in Bi­son Grass Vodka and a Spiced Cho­co­late Mar­tini.
