As you probably know at this stage, the launch of Sony’s flagship PS4 racer Driveclub has proven to be nothing short of an unmitigated disaster. Despite being a decent racer when it works, the game has struggled with server and connectivity issues, rendering the title all but unplayable for many. Sadly, the bad news doesn’t end there, either, as the planned free PlayStation Plus version of the game has been “indefinitely delayed” until the team at Evolution Studios can get everything running as it should be. If you cast your mind back to the official PS4 unveiling last year, Driveclub took centre states as the main attraction for the PlayStation Plus subscription service, but an initial delay of close to a year followed by the gradual stripping away of the included features, and now this news, has left a sour taste in the mouths of many PlayStation stalwarts. We’ve got no doubt it’ll be released at some stage later this year, but time is running out, and will anyone care any more by that stage?
