CONSUMER VERSION OF OCULUS RIFT HEADSET JUST ” MONTHS AWAY”
Those of you who have been eagerly waiting for the long- awaited launch of Oculus VR’s Rift headset can finally breathe a sigh of relief, as company CEO Brendan Iribe has announced that the consumer version could be just around the corner. “We’re all hungry for it to happen. We’re getting very close,” Iribe told attendees at the 2014 Web Summit in Dublin. “It’s months, not years away, but many months.” Since the Rift was announced interest has been steadily mounting among the general public, and with Facebook’s acquisition of the Oculus earlier this year it has become a hotter topic than ever. Those who are unable to wait are able to purchase a development kit for around $ 350 from Oculus.
