As the industry’s flagship event, the International Consumer Electronics Show is a bit of a big deal in tech circles. Every year it offers all the major players, emerging forces and shiny new startups the opportunity to showcase their wares on the global

If it’s happening in tech in 2015, it was at CES in Las Vegas! Find out what caught TekSavvy Insider’s eye at the biggest and best CES to date, direct from Las Vegas...

As anyone who has ever attended the event can attest, it’s a whirlwind of press conferences, interviews, showcases and media events, punctuated with lavish spreads, concerts and an overarching party atmosphere, but at its core it all boils down the one important thing: the opportunity to get a first look at the technologies that’ll underpin the next twelve months in the technology world, from smartphones to accessories to home entertainment to cars and just about everything in between.

The past couple of CES’ have been a little disappointing in truth, with too much of a focus on iterative technology, and not enough new developments to really capture the imagination or excite.

The concerted push to make 4K Ultra HD TVs seem interesting to consumers, despite their ludicrous introductory price points was a particularly sticky area for us, but this year, thanks to some genuinely interesting emerging technologies that are finally starting to come to fruition, the experience was an awful lot more enjoyable.

Over the next 7 pages we’re going to take a look at our favourite products from the event, separating the wheat from the chaff and giving you the very best CES 2015 had to offer, so sit back, relax and prepare to take a look at what the coming year in technology has to offer…
