PIXELS PREPARES SUMMER INVASION

TekSavvy Insider - - Latest News -

It’s probably fair to say that the forthcoming Adam Sandler flick Pixels has a lot working against it - like the fact that it’s got Adam Sandler in it, for starters - but it’s tough to argue against the sheer awesomeness of it’s debut trailer. Setting the tone for the, frankly, ridiculous plot ( which is, incidentally based upon a short feature created by Frenchman Patrick Jean), the early look reveals a lot more than you might have expected from a debut clip, explaining the overarching premise of the story and then serving up almost a minute and a half of pretty tasty action. Obviously this isn’t a movie that’s to be taken all that seriously, but despite our reservations about Sandler’s involvement, it’s actually shaping up to be pretty interesting... the trailer’s even got that stop/ start horn that has punctuated literally every sci- fi actioner for the past eight years ( thanks Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer), so you know it’s going to be good. Maybe. Probably not.
