Mary He­len Liv­ing­stone

It is with heavy hearts that the fam­ily of Mary He­len Liv­ing­stone, age 89, of Amherst an­nounce her pass­ing on Sun­day, Au­gust 27, 2017 at Cum­ber­land Re­gional Health Care Cen­tre, Up­per Nap­pan, NS.

Born in Granville Ferry, NS she was a daugh­ter of the late Clif­ford N. and A. Blanche (Camp­bell) Rice. In her younger years, Mary worked as a tele­phone op­er­a­tor for Mar­itime Tel and Tel in An­napo­lis Royal. She was a mem­ber of the Canso Curl­ing Club, Amherst Curl­ing Club, Amherst Golf Club, the Red Hat So­ci­ety and the FlyWay Cam­pers. Mary was also a mem­ber of Trin­ity St. Stephen’s United Church, Amherst and Unit 3 of the UCW.

Mary was a for­mer vol­un­teer at the gift shop at Cum­ber­land Re­gional Health Care Cen­tre.

She and her hus­band Gerry en­joyed trav­el­ing with many of their friends and fam­ily and spent sev­eral win­ters in Florida.

Mary al­ways en­joyed vis­its from and vis­it­ing with her friends and fam­ily.

She is sur­vived by one daugh­ter Alma (Tony) Doucette of Wind­sor, ON, one son John (Lorie) of Riverview, NB, four grand­chil­dren Grant (Lina) Liv­ing­stone and Keri Lynn (An­drew) Savoy and Jessi (Chris Hart) and Jamie Doucette, three great grand­chil­dren Brechan Liv­ing­stone, Pay­tra and Fin Savoy, two nieces Mary Lou (Rod) Peter­son and Nancy Lea (Gary) Tucker and nephew Keith (Pam) Con­don.

Be­sides her par­ents, Mary was pre­de­ceased by her hus­band Gerry, brothers Don­ald, Wal­ter and Sher­man, sis­ter Alma Con­don and nephew Richard Con­don.

Vis­i­ta­tion was held on Tues­day, Au­gust 29, 2017 from 7 – 9 p.m. in Camp­bell’s Fu­neral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-6679906)

Fu­neral ser­vice was held on Wed­nes­day at 2 p.m. in Camp­bell’s Chapel with Rev. By­ron Corkum of­fi­ci­at­ing.

In­ter­ment will fol­low in the Amherst Ceme­tery.
