Fundy Un­der-17’s win sil­ver at provin­cials

Nick Chev­erie scored five goals in tour­ney

The Fundy Youth Soc­cer Un­der-17 boys re­cently won a sil­ver medal at the pro­vin­cial cham­pi­onships in New Minas.

West Hants beat Fundy 3-2 in the gold medal game, with Nick Chev­erie and Jurian Fer­rigno scor­ing for Fundy.

The game ended in over­time and then went to a shoot out.

Fundy went un­de­feated in their di­vi­sion with the fol­low­ing re­sults:

Fundy beat Riverview (Cape Bre­ton) 3-0. Fundy scor­ers were: Chev­erie with two and Fer­rigno with one.

Fundy beat Bridgetown 2-1. Fundy scor­ers were: Chev­erie and Colton Ca­ballero.

Fundy beat Dun­brack 3-2. Fundy scor­ers were: Chev­erie, Kyle Hur­ley and Maxwell Hoar.
