Swim­mers start sea­son at Dal­housie meet

ree Spartans swim­mers re­cently kick-started the swim sea­son at 15th An­nual Dal­housie IM meet last month.

“e rst meet of the sea­son helps to es­tab­lish a base­line for the rest of the sea­son,” said coach Jan Matthews. “Af­ter a sum­mer of pur­su­ing dif­fer­ent in­ter­ests and ac­tiv­i­ties, the swim­mers can reset and con­sider their goals for the year.”

Lau­ren Mil­lard recorded four per­sonal bests dur­ing the meet. She swam to third place in the 50-me­tre free and ranked fourth in the 50-me­tre back­stroke, 50me­tre breast­stroke and 400me­tre free events.

Lind­say Jurcina earned best time awards in the 50-me­tre breast­stroke and 50-me­tre but­ter y events.

Adam Bobadilla-Amaran recorded best times in each of his events, rank­ing third in the 50me­tre free and fourth in the 50me­tre breast­stroke.

e Spartans look for­ward to a suc­cess­ful sea­son of age group swimming.
