Swimmers start season at Dalhousie meet
ree Spartans swimmers recently kick-started the swim season at 15th Annual Dalhousie IM meet last month.
“e rst meet of the season helps to establish a baseline for the rest of the season,” said coach Jan Matthews. “After a summer of pursuing different interests and activities, the swimmers can reset and consider their goals for the year.”
Lauren Millard recorded four personal bests during the meet. She swam to third place in the 50-metre free and ranked fourth in the 50-metre backstroke, 50metre breaststroke and 400metre free events.
Lindsay Jurcina earned best time awards in the 50-metre breaststroke and 50-metre butter y events.
Adam Bobadilla-Amaran recorded best times in each of his events, ranking third in the 50metre free and fourth in the 50metre breaststroke.
e Spartans look forward to a successful season of age group swimming.
