Spirit Catcher awards

Bar­rie is seek­ing nom­i­na­tions for this year’s Or­der of the Spirit Catcher Award. The awards re­placed the Civic Award of Merit in 2000 and is the high­est hon­our pre­sented to vol­un­teers by the city. Re­quire­ments for nom­i­nees are that they must be a res­i­dent of the city and be ei­ther over 19 years of age, or be­tween the ages of 12-18 for the Youth Spirit Catcher Award. Po­ten­tial award re­cip­i­ents are cho­sen based on self­less vol­un­teer­ing, no­table con­tri­bu­tions to the com­mu­nity’s life­style, and ben­e­fit­ing oth­ers through ex­tra­or­di­nary achieve­ment.
