Thanks­giv­ing af­fect­ing some city ser­vices

A num­ber of ser­vices in Bar­rie are af­fected by Thanks­giv­ing, which is Mon­day, Oct. 9. There will no Bar­rie Tran­sit ser­vice that day. For more visit www.bar­rie.ca/ Tran­sit No­tices. There will be no garbage, or­gan­ics, re­cy­cling and yard waste col­lec­tion on Mon­day. Col­lec­tion dur­ing the week of this hol­i­day will oc­cur one day later for the re­main­der of the week. Ma­te­ri­als must be curb­side by 7 a.m. on col­lec­tion day. For more visit www. bar­rie.ca/Curb­side Col­lec­tion. Bar­rie Land­fill is closed reg­u­larly ev­ery Sun­day and Mon­day. All city re­cre­ation fa­cil­i­ties will be open reg­u­lar op­er­at­ing hours on Mon­day. How­ever, all reg­is­tered pro­grams are can­celled; drop-in pro­grams will be op­er­at­ing as per the reg­u­lar drop-in sched­ule. For more, visit www.bar­rie.ca/dropins. Down­town park­ing, on-street and in the lots, is free on all statu­tory hol­i­days. Wa­ter­front park­ing is en­forced 24/7. Res­i­dents must dis­play their per­mits and vis­i­tors are re­quired to pay $3/ hour, with a daily max­i­mum of $15.
