Toronto man suffers serious injuries in fall
CLEARVIEW TWP. - A Toronto man suffered life-threatening injuries after a fall while climbing a rock face in Devil’s Glen Provincial Park Sunday afternoon. The 38-year-old was airlifted to a Toronto hospital and is in stable condition, according to Huronia West OPP. Police determined that four members of a climbing club were on the rock face when the fall took place. While two were on their way down, one man fell about 30 feet when rope-securing devices in rock crevices called cams did not hold, OPP said. Clearview firefighters and Simcoe County paramedics were also on scene.
