Gan­der Flight Train­ing re­ports record sum­mer

GAN­DER, NL – Gan­der Flight Train­ing (GFT) en­joyed an out­stand­ing sea­son for its Air Cadet Train­ing Pro­gram.

Fif­teen air cadets from Atlantic Canada helped con­trib­ute to GFT fly­ing over 1,100 hours, mak­ing it a record sum­mer for its 25 years of op­er­a­tions.

Pa­trick White, pres­i­dent and CEO, says, “Em­ploy­ees at GFT are proud to have earned a rep­u­ta­tion as a world class train­ing cen­ter at a world class airport.”

GFT also has a con­tract with uni­ver­si­ties in Thai­land to train stu­dents in Gan­der, plus stu­dents from other in­ter­na­tional coun­tries, along with air cadets from across Atlantic Canada.

GFT, to­gether with its sis­ter com­pany, EVAS Air, em­ploys more than 225 work­ers in New­found­land and Labrador and within the Atlantic Prov­inces.

Gan­der Flight Train­ing and EVAS Air are owned by Pa­trick and Florence White.
