The Evoke Marketing and Promotions novice Tier 1 Warriors earned three of four points this past weekend, winning a rematch against the West London Hawks and tying the division-leading Oakridge Aeros. Saturday at home against the undefeated Aeros, Stratford scored in the third period of a 2-2 tie. Maddyx Chaput and Graedon Smith scored for the Warriors, while Hudsyn Chaput picked up an assist. Defencemen Griffin Harvey, Piers Murray, Owen Blackburn, Jack Haines, Reid Morris and Jack Bannon did a great job protecting their own net and clearing the puck from their own zone in front of goalie Carter Keating. Stratford defeated West London 5-2 at the Allman Arena. Maddyx Chaput fired a hat trick, and Bannon and Hudsyn Chaput added single markers. Blackburn, Caden Ollson, Morris, Bannon, Nate VanBakel and Hudsyn Chaput had assists. Jake Schultz, VanBakel and Tyler Jackson were excellent on the penalty kill, and Keating made 12 saves for the win. Stratford faces Sarnia and Oakridge this weekend.
