Tier 2 novice War­riors win sea­son opener

The Neumeis­ter Mo­tors Tier 2 novice War­riors opened the reg­u­lar sea­son with a 9-5 win over the Brant­ford 99ers. Evan Hughes led the of­fence with four goals. Ezra Wre­ford had a goal and as­sist, while Ka­dyn Adams net­ted two goals, and Fis­cher McPher­son and Josh Steele each had a goal and two as­sists. On de­fence, John Spillane’s phys­i­cal pres­ence was a big fac­tor. Cael­lum Par­sons played a solid game by clear­ing the puck many times. Rowan Green broke up many scor­ing chances and showed tremen­dous hus­tle. In net, Quinn Smith pro­vided solid goal­tend­ing by mak­ing some big saves. Strat­ford faced Water­loo Tues­day night at home.
