- Ruth Mary Wood (née Wilkin), passed away peacefully in her sleep in her 98th year at Cedarcroft Place, Stratford on November 5, 2017. Born in 1920 to William Wilkin and Rose Clarke and the middle of three children, Ruth married her husband Godfrey in 1940. They eventually settled in the Toronto area, where they raised their five children. Ruth was an active, long-time member of Kingsway Baptist Church in Etobicoke. She is predeceased by older brother Clarke Wilkin, younger sister Eleanor Miller, husband Godfrey Wood and daughter Rosemary Currie. She will be deeply missed by her children, Carol Innes (Allan), David Wood (Kathleen), Don Wood (Kate), Catherine Berry (Rik) and son-in-law Alec Currie. She is fondly remembered by 17 grandchildren, 19 greatgrandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. As she requested, cremation has taken place and a private memorial will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
