Bo­rys scores four in Braves win over Moun­ties

Josh Bo­rys scored four goals to lead the Tav­i­s­tock Braves to a 5-1 win over the Paris Moun­ties Fri­day night. Two of Bo­rys’ goals were short­handed, in­clud­ing an emp­tynet­ter late in the third pe­riod. Jake Wif­fen added a power-play goal and an as­sist. An­gus Row­land picked up a pair of helpers.

Ben­jamin Cripps replied for Paris. Jensen Van Boekel made 23 saves for the Braves, and Moun­ties goalie Sam Roy stopped 26 shots. Tav­i­s­tock went 1-for-10 with the man ad­van­tage, and Paris was 0-for-10. The Braves im­proved to 13-1-0-2 and are third in the Do­herty Di­vi­sion.
