Jar­ret Bog­don’s five goals helped the Mitchell Hawks snap a four-game los­ing streak Fri­day night in

Goderich.

Bog­don scored twice in the first and sec­ond pe­ri­ods be­fore fin­ish­ing his night with an­other tally in the third as the Hawks beat the Fly­ers 7-3.

Jamie Shoe­maker had a goal and as­sist, and Blake Pick­er­ing added a sin­gle marker. Dal­ton Smith had four as­sists, and Luken Van Pelt picked up a pair of helpers.

Cur­tis Lavi­o­lette made 21 saves in the win.

Chad Treble scored twice for Goderich, and Matt Bean scored the other goal. Bran­don Bean stopped 20 of 25 shots be­fore Ja­cob Ab­bott took over and made seven saves.

Mitchell im­proved to 10-8-1-0.
