Hodg­son scores three in mi­nor pee­wee MD loss

The Strat­ford All Equip Re­pair mi­nor pee­wee MD War­riors lost 9-4 to the Hamil­ton Huskies.

Strat­ford opened the scor­ing in the first pe­riod on a goal by Justin Hodg­son. Lach­lan MacArthur and Jack­son Grasby picked up the as­sists. The War­riors went up 2-0 on Hodg­son’s sec­ond goal of the game com­ing off the re­bound from a shot by MacArthur. Tyson Mal­cho and Noah Rankin helped limit Hamil­ton to one goal in the first pe­riod and kept pucks away from goal­tender Hut­ton Pat­ter­son, who was solid. The Huskies tied the game in the sec­ond frame be­fore Jack­son Camp­bell net­ted the War­riors’ third goal of the game. Ethan Plot­nik and Austin Cos­stick as­sisted. Hodg­son com­pleted his hat trick late in the sec­ond pe­riod. Nate Framst col­lected the as­sist. The War­riors were un­able to hold the lead in the third pe­riod. Strat­ford trav­els to Oakridge Sun­day af­ter­noon and are in Wood­stock Mon­day night to face the Jr Navy Vets at 7 p.m.
