Plastic water bottles serve a need

The Beacon Herald - - OPINION -

Re: Plastic water bottles should be next ban (Point of View, July 7)

I am for trying to save our environment. I recycle as much as possible, but I don’t agree with banning plastic water bottles.

I am a truck driver and I don’t have access to tap water on demand.

People say buy reusable containers and fill them. Well, I don’t get home every day, and some places truck drivers go don’t have proper bathrooms for us to use, nevermind drinkable water.

Also, we can’t just stop anywhere we want like other motorists can.

As long as people properly recycle plastic water bottle, I don’t see a need for a ban. Todd MacDougall
