Real environmentalists

The Beacon Herald - - OPINION -

The Point of View Circus acts not convincing the masses (July 6) hit the nail right on the head.

Unlike the lunatic fringe of Greenpeace hanging from bridges to hold up ship traffic, real environmentalists act differently.

Real environmentalists ride bikes, scooters and public transit. Real environmentalists grow food on marginal land, purchase locally grown produce and make compost. Most importantly, real environmentalists live lives of elegant simplicity.

The latest electronic play toy from the big box store or the internet is of no interest to them.

If there were more real environmentalists, pipelines and tar sands developments would not be needed.
