Fu­neral ser­vice for the late Alice Mary Nieforth, 94, Port Hawkes­bury Nurs­ing Home, for­merly of St. Peter’s, was held Septem­ber 3 in St. Peter’s United Church, St. Peter’s, with Rev­erend Donna Lovelace of­fi­ci­at­ing. Burial was in the Lakeside Ceme­tery.

Mrs. Nieforth died Au­gust 28, 2018, in Strait Rich­mond Hos­pi­tal.

Born July 5, 1924, in Oban, she was the daugh­ter of the late Alex N. and An­nie C. (Camp­bell) Macdon­ald. She is sur­vived by son, Ron­nie (Donna) Flynn, Grand Anse; daugh­ter, Vera Saltz­man (Randy Slaw­son), Fort Qu’ap­pelle, Saskatchewan; two step­sons, Alvin Nieforth (late Glenda), Dart­mouth; Ralph (Lynn) Nieforth, Sid­ney, Bri­tish Columbia; three grand­chil­dren, Brenda, Linda, Blair; four step-grand­chil­dren, Trevor, Sharma, Deanna, Michelle; sev­eral great-grand­chil­dren, great step-grand­chil­dren; one niece; three neph­ews.

She was pre­de­ceased by three hus­bands, Phonse Flynn, Har­vey Saltz­man, Theodore ‘Ted’ Nieforth; son, Alex; two sis­ters, Jessie, Catherine; brother, Don­ald; step­son, Gor­don; grand­sonin-law, Dar­ren.
