A cel­e­bra­tion of life for the late Lynda Rose (Tay­lor) Koile, age 78, was held Oc­to­ber 1 in Chris­tian Fel­low­ship Church, New Glas­gow. Burial will be in Bar­ney’s River at a later date.

Mrs. Koile died Septem­ber 27, 2018, in Lil­lian Fraser Me­mo­rial Hos­pi­tal, Tata­m­agouche.

Born and raised in Afton, Antigo­nish County, she was a daugh­ter of the late Leonard Wil­fred and Laura Belle

(Rhynold) Tay­lor. She trained as a lab tech­ni­cian at St. Martha’s Hos­pi­tal. She lived and worked in In­ver­ness, Syd­ney and Toronto, On­tario, even­tu­ally mov­ing back to Nova Sco­tia to raise her fam­ily of eight chil­dren and make mu­sic. She was a lov­ing mother, a com­pas­sion­ate woman of great faith in her Lord and Saviour and a pro­lific and ta­lented song­writer. Her mu­sic touched the hearts of all who heard it. Along with a num­ber of record­ings and ra­dio hits, she wrote scores of songs for her fam­ily and church fam­ily and brought the joy of mu­sic and faith to many peo­ple over the years.

Her mu­si­cal gift will con­tinue to lift and in­spire many for years to come.

She is sur­vived by five sons, Robert Wolf (Cor­rie An­der­son), Lochiel Lake; Ge­orge Wolf

(Ni­cole Macken­zie), White Rock, Bri­tish Columbia; Jeremy Wolf, New Glas­gow; Joshua Koile, Van­cou­ver, Bri­tish Columbia; Ju­dah Koile (Ji­won), Los An­ge­les, Cal­i­for­nia; three daugh­ters, Julie Worm­ing­ton (Lee), Whitby, On­tario; Se­lah Koile (Bruno Al­lard), Kentville; Mary-grace Koile, Mon­treal, Que­bec; 15 grand­chil­dren, Kataryna, Alex, Aaron, Ai­den, Rachel, Sean, Tay­lor, Jeremy, Jef­frey, Alee­sha, Anna, Gib­son, Heaven, Vada, Rumi; six great-grand­chil­dren, Elora, Ju­lianna, Gabriel, Ara­bella, Jasper, Lil­ian; eight sis­ters, Joyce, June, Mar­ion, Dorothy, Bar­bara, Iris, San­dra, Lau­rel; two brothers, Bryan, Daryll; their part­ners; many cousins, nieces and neph­ews.

She was pre­de­ceased by grand­daugh­ter, Charly; brother, Cz­er­ney (Terry); two sis­ters, Karmel, Heather; niece, Ash­ley.
