LYNDA ROSE KOILE
A celebration of life for the late Lynda Rose (Taylor) Koile, age 78, was held October 1 in Christian Fellowship Church, New Glasgow. Burial will be in Barney’s River at a later date.
Mrs. Koile died September 27, 2018, in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche.
Born and raised in Afton, Antigonish County, she was a daughter of the late Leonard Wilfred and Laura Belle
(Rhynold) Taylor. She trained as a lab technician at St. Martha’s Hospital. She lived and worked in Inverness, Sydney and Toronto, Ontario, eventually moving back to Nova Scotia to raise her family of eight children and make music. She was a loving mother, a compassionate woman of great faith in her Lord and Saviour and a prolific and talented songwriter. Her music touched the hearts of all who heard it. Along with a number of recordings and radio hits, she wrote scores of songs for her family and church family and brought the joy of music and faith to many people over the years.
Her musical gift will continue to lift and inspire many for years to come.
She is survived by five sons, Robert Wolf (Corrie Anderson), Lochiel Lake; George Wolf
(Nicole Mackenzie), White Rock, British Columbia; Jeremy Wolf, New Glasgow; Joshua Koile, Vancouver, British Columbia; Judah Koile (Jiwon), Los Angeles, California; three daughters, Julie Wormington (Lee), Whitby, Ontario; Selah Koile (Bruno Allard), Kentville; Mary-grace Koile, Montreal, Quebec; 15 grandchildren, Kataryna, Alex, Aaron, Aiden, Rachel, Sean, Taylor, Jeremy, Jeffrey, Aleesha, Anna, Gibson, Heaven, Vada, Rumi; six great-grandchildren, Elora, Julianna, Gabriel, Arabella, Jasper, Lilian; eight sisters, Joyce, June, Marion, Dorothy, Barbara, Iris, Sandra, Laurel; two brothers, Bryan, Daryll; their partners; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by granddaughter, Charly; brother, Czerney (Terry); two sisters, Karmel, Heather; niece, Ashley.
