Brodie, Flames down 3-0
CALGARY – Dresden’s T.J. Brodie and the Calgary Flames trail the Anaheim Ducks 3-0 heading into Game 4 in their Western Conference quarter-final Wednesday (10 p.m., CBC). Brodie had two assists in a 5-4 overtime loss in Game 3 on Monday. Corey Perry scored 1:30 into overtime to complete the Ducks’ comeback from a 4-1 deficit. “We’ve had a lot of great moments in this series,” Flames captain Mark Giordano said to the Calgary Sun. “We’ve carried the play and obviously it was really disappointing to lose that one, but we have to take it one game at a time. “We’ve carried the play for moments during the series and have shown that if we play fast, we can create offence and create goals. They’ve been better at the momentum swings and key moments. They’ve had big-time goals. “But we’ve gotta look at this shift-to-shift, game-to-game now. Down 3-0, it’s tough to come back in this league. But you go game-togame and try to build momentum off that.” Brodie has four assists in the series. He was tied for the NHL lead in playoff assists going into Tuesday’s games.
