Woodman on injured list

The Chatham Daily News - - SPORTS -

Edmonton Eskimos defensive back Josh Woodman of Chatham is on the six-game injured list. Woodman has already missed two games, so he’ll be eligible to return Saturday, Oct. 21, against the B.C. Lions. The Ursuline graduate is in his second CFL season. He’s made nine defensive tackles and one specialteams tackle in nine games. The Eskimos (7-4-0) have fallen to third place in the West Division after losing four consecutive games. They lost 25-22 to the first-place Calgary Stampeders last Saturday. The Eskimos will try to stop their skid when they visit the Toronto Argonauts this Saturday (4 p.m., TSN). Head coach Jason Maas said the Eskimos’ lack of discipline has been an issue all year. “Sitting people might be the next step,” Maas said in the Edmonton Sun. “As a coach, you don’t want to get to that because you feel like you hurt your football club when it’s really good players that are committing those penalties and you’re having to sit them because of disciplinary reasons. But if it has to get to that, then I guess it has to get to that.”
