AMES, Iowa – Senior guard Bridget Carleton of Chatham had 14 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists for the Iowa State Cyclones in a 95-35 win over the Niagara Purple Eagles in the first round of the Preseason WNIT on Friday.
Carleton led the Cyclones in rebounds and assists in their NCAA basketball regular-season opener. She scored 10 of the Cyclones’ 21 points in the third quarter, then sat out the fourth. The 60-point win is the sixth-largest in team history. Iowa State plays Northern Illinois in the second round Sunday.
Iowa State will visit Chatham for a game against Eastern Michigan on Wednesday, Nov. 21, at the Thames Campus HealthPlex.
