made beans, scal­loped pota­toes, corn scal­lop, bis­cuits, dessert, tea and cof­fee. The RCMP will pro­vide a guest speaker with tips on liv­ing alone, fraud, 911 and will an­swer any ques­tions you may have for them.

On Thurs­day, Jan. 13, I will be hav­ing fam­ily games night at the li­brary from 6-8 p.m. I have quite a se­lec­tion of games to choose from, so come and have some fun!

On Fri­day, Jan. 14, Spencer’s Is­land Bingo will be held at the fire hall at 7 p.m. Come on out for an evening of fun and hope­fully at­ten­dance will be up like be­fore Christ­mas so it can keep con­tin­u­ing to have Bingo over the win­ter.

On Thurs­day, Jan. 27, I will be do­ing Valen­tine crafts and sto­ries at the li­brary from 3-4 p.m.

Ages three to 12 are wel­come to come and have some fun, and the cost is free!

The New Salem Union Church is go­ing to need a new roof and other re­pairs next year, so in the spring they will be do­ing fundrais­ing and will also ac­cept do­na­tions at any time if given.
