Plant sale com­ing up on June 3

The Parrs­boro Band As­so­ci­a­tion will spon­sor its an­nual Plant, Bake and Book Sale on Saturday, June 3, be­gin­ning at 9 a.m.

There will be a great va­ri­ety of peren­ni­als, yard sale items, bake goods and books.

There will even be a spot to sit and en­joy a cof­fee or a muf­fin be­fore you leave with your trea­sures.

Do­na­tions of peren­ni­als and baked items would be greatly ap­pre­ci­ated and can be dropped off at the hall on Friday, June 2, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mem­ber­ships will be avail­able and tick­ets will be sold on a gar­den cart kindly do­nated by Randy and Pa­tri­cia Mosher and will be drawn for at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Tick­ets will be sold on 25 pounds of lob­ster as well and will be drawn for on Band Day, Sunday, July 23.

The hall will then be trans­formed into a con­cert venue for Len­nie Gal­lant, 2017 East Coast En­ter­tainer of the Year, who will per­form to a sold out au­di­ence.

Con­certs in the Park be­gin Sunday, June 4.

The pop­u­lar Con­certs in the Park for Char­ity be­gin rain or shine on Sunday, June 4, at 7 p.m.

These con­certs are held each Sunday at 7 p.m. at the new band­stand in Parrs­boro. There will be dif­fer­ent mu­si­cians per­form­ing each Sunday evening dur­ing June, July and Au­gust with the ex­cep­tion of Sunday, July 23, which is Band Day.

The mu­si­cians choose their char­ity and do­na­tions from the evening will go to their fa­vorite char­ity.

These con­certs are spon­sored by The Parrs­boro Band As­so­ci­a­tion.
