Free sum­mer swims pop­u­lar

YMCA of­fer­ing free swims Mon­day to Fri­day, each swim see­ing about 50 to 60 at­ten­dees

The free weekly swims are go­ing well this sum­mer at the Cum­ber­land YMCA.

Through­out the sum­mer, swims spon­sored by the town of Amherst, the Full of Life pro­gram (YMCA) and the Cana­dian Tire Jump­start pro­gram are hosted by the YMCA.

Th­ese public swims are of­fered through­out July and Au­gust and most are open to all ages.

There is a free swim each day from Mon­day to Fri­day. The swims are as fol­lows:

Town of Amherst recre­ational swim 3 to 4 p.m.

QMon­days:

Q3 to 4 p.m.

Town of Amherst recre­ational swim 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Cana­dian Tire Jump­start swim 3 to 4 p.m. (ages four to 18)

Full of Life public swim to 60 at­ten­dees.

Reg­is­tra­tion should be made at the front desk be­fore swim­ming. Chil­dren six years or younger should be ac­com­pa­nied by a par­ent or guardian while in the pool.

Those in­ter­ested in at­tend­ing the swims should check ym­caofcum­ber­land. com for any changes or pool clo­sures. The pool will be closed the last week of Au­gust for clean­ing.
