ER clo­sures con­tinue at three county hos­pi­tals

There are sev­eral emer­gency room clo­sures in the com­ing days at Cum­ber­land County’s three col­lab­o­ra­tive emer­gency cen­tres.

The ER at the North Cum­ber­land CEC is closed for four hours to­day from 4 to 8 p.m. and dur­ing the day­time hours on Fri­day and Satur­day.

The ER at the All Saints Springhill CEC will be closed dur­ing the day­time hours on Fri­day and Satur­day while in Parrsboro the ER at the South Cum­ber­land CEC will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thurs­day.

The clo­sures are be­cause there is no physi­cian to pro­vide med­i­cal cov­er­age.

Overnight cov­er­age by the reg­is­tered nurse, over­sight physi­cian team is not im­pacted.

Any­one ex­pe­ri­enc­ing an emer­gency should al­ways call 911. Gen­eral health ques­tions can be an­swered by call­ing 811.
