Some­times it’s hard to stay pos­i­tive when work and school are con­cerned. But no mat­ter how tough it gets, be as­sured: Your city isn’t out to get you, and your de­gree can pay off.

Mak­ing progress is hard to do alone, which is why peo­ple talk so much about the value of con­nec­tions when they talk about ca­reers. Don’t be shy about seek­ing help from your ex­ist­ing con­nec­tions, and if you think you need new con­nec­tions, it’s time to start mak­ing them.

You may spark con­nec­tions any­where, and you can find your col­lec­tive if you look hard enough. But for all of those times you can’t seem to get a lead, here are two help­ful re­sources that you can keep in your back pocket for later.
