Small Town Show Biz: 2 Dreams from a Harbourtown charmingly examines the drive for fame.

The Coast - - FALL ARTS - BY CARSTEN KNOX

Jackie Smith and Diana Hart have a couple things in common. They’re both in their 50s and aren’t letting a little thing like age stop them from pursuing life goals associated with youth: he fronts rock band Razorboy and she’s a pin-up model. Having already made a name for their Peep Media shingle with CBC docs Edge of East and My Week On Welfare, writer-director Jackie Torrens with producing partner Jessica Brown this time profile two inspiring people who’ve embraced a life in the spotlight despite, or maybe because, they’ve had to manage more than their fair share of real life challenges. Jackie and Diana’s stories are honest, unvarnished and charming, with Torrens, the actor, journalist and documentarian, once again finding a special kinship with her characters.
