Cool snaps

Photos by Linda Sooley

Heart’s Delight-Islington resident Linda Sooley is one crafty woman. Picking up her saw and hammer she not only built a set of steps leading down to this brook and then a bridge across it, but put her great photography skills to use as well.

On a cool March day last week she found this exhibit at the brook, courtesy of Jack Frost.

“It was beautiful, not a breeze of wind anywhere,” she says. “I went down to clean up my fire pit area and saw these beautiful formations.

“It was almost like the water droplets were trying to get away from the mad torrent that was rushing down the brook - the droplets were clinging to and hanging off the bridge, the branches and the rocks. Each one looked like something different.”

Awed by the beauty, Sooley spent two hours capturing glittery shots.

Needless to say, the fire pit area is still in need of a sprucing up.
